DASHAVTARI

Dashavtar, it's the local drama art form from Sindhudurga district of Maharashtra state, India. From last 300 years Dashavtar drama art is alive. This drama art is based on historical stories like Ramayan, Mahabharat. Season of this art starts from Tipori Pournima and ends before monsoon season. Dashavtari (the actors)  perform dramas day and night without getting any proper sleep, so as and when time permits they go for a quick nap.
I have captured some moods of the actors from these drama's on stage and off stage. Hope you enjoy watching them.
